# I'm not really sure who made this application but you can find it on the internet. This is a tutorial from youtube that provides an overview on how this application works. Hope it's helpful! -Walker ##How to install the Crusader Kings II DLC Activator Advanced Steam Emulator version 1.8+ by Walker# Before going further, I would like to mention that there are two different versions of the DLC Activator available: a plain version and an advanced steam emulator version (ASEM). The ASEM works for all games, including those which weren't out at the time of its development and for which configuration files couldn't be created. In the list below, I'll mention if a specific DLC works with plain or ASEM version. Go to the Steam SDK home page and download the SDK. Now install it; note that you must have Visual C++ 2010 installed on your computer for this to work. The downloaded file will be in the form of .7z. You need 7-Zip (or compatible software like iZarc) to open this format; once you do that, there will be a file called Steam_api_(64bit_if_available).dll(/32bit_if_available). Copy it to .../Steam/steamapps/common/Crusader Kings II/ (for both x64 and x86 architectures). Extract the downloaded DLC_activator.rar to your desktop. It will contain two folders: crusaderkings2 and crusaderkings2_dlc (only ASEM version has the _dlc folder). This is where you'll have to locate the launch script in order for it to work. Create a desktop shortcut with Steam through your library in order to access Steam's configurations options more easily by clicking on the arrow right next to Crusader Kings II, then selecting "Configure Steam...", then "open the folder" right under the "steam" tab, so that you have it open in front of you. You are now at .../Steam/steamapps/common/Crusader Kings II . There should be a file called "crusaderkings2_launcher.script". Start a new text document on your desktop and name it "Steam_api_crusaderkings2.txt"; it will contain the script for activating all the DLC through the Steam API. Copy and paste this script into the just created text document on your desktop named "Steam_api_crusaderkings2. txt" and save it. Kind of like this: Note: If you want the DLC activator to work for all games (including those who weren't out yet), then replace the whole steam_api_crusaderkings2.txt with the steam_api_all.txt text document which can be found in the ASEM version of the dlc_activator folder. cfa1e77820
